  • The Tojiro brand made in Niigata, Japan has become famous for the production of high quality ultra sharp kitchen knives and have won many national and international awards, in addition to support from many professional chefs including celebrity chef Heston Blumenthal. These top quality Tojiro Senkou knives are made by folding and hammering multi layers of steel to produce the Damascus-type blades. This process of laminating different types of steel adopted by Japanese Samurai Sword makers provides an extremely sharp but flexible and strong blade. Smaller knives have 37 layers of steel whilst larger knives feature 63 layers wrapped around a central VG-10 core (with extremely high hardness of HRC62). Handles are made from Micarta (multi layers of linen and resin) and have a stainless steel inlay, which can be engraved. These knives feel great in the hand, offering a perfect balance of East meets West design. You must be over 18 to buy this product.
