Shipping & Delivery

All orders over £100 net value qualify for FREE delivery to UK Mainland addresses.

We charge a flat delivery fee of £5.95 for all UK Mainland addresses.

We ship items worldwide. To find out the costs, add an item to your basket and go to the My Basket and enter your details into the Estimate Delivery form boxes.

All goods that are dispatched are sent via a recorded insured service. This means that a signature will be required and goods will not be left at an unattended premises.

Goods are dispatched as quick as possible. If for any reason we are out of stock or there is a problem with the dispatch with any product then you will be notified by email as soon as we are aware.

Small packages will be dispatched by Royal Mail Recorded delivery whilst larger parcels are sent via a courier service.

If delivery is attempted whilst the premises are unoccupied then a card will be left to re-arrange delivery.

Not at home during the day? No problem. Your billing address should be the address your card is registered to. However, you can have your parcel delivered to an alternative address. Just fill in the desired address in the Delivery Address section.

Haven’t received your order when expected? If your order doesn’t arrive when expected please contact our Customer Service Department.

Please be aware that York Catering Supplies cannot be held responsible for orders delayed by incorrect address information supplied during the checkout process.

When you register with the Company and/or place an order, we need to know your name, delivery address, credit or debit card number and expiry date, email address and telephone number. This information allows us to fulfil your order and notify you of the status of your order.

We (The Company) may also ask you to give us optional contact information, for example your fax number and information like your age.

We (the Company) may also use your information for the purpose of providing you with information about any special offers or features of our web site which we think may be of interest to you and for related marketing purposes, it is never sold or passed on without consent.

Our site allows you to opt out of receiving communications from us when we request your information. Also if you want to opt out at a later point, you can do so by e-mailing us (the Company) or writing to our address.

We (the Company) may log your IP address as you browse the site. This is purely for website statistics, recording the users to the site and which pages they visit. This information does not tell us who you are, and we only use this to monitor the effectiveness of the site.

If we (the Company) change our Privacy Policy we will post the changes on this page so that you may be aware of them. We will also email you should we make any changes and give you a chance to ask us not to use your information in that way. Because the Internet infrastructure is wide, and it is not possible to predict the routes that information sent over the Internet will take, the information you provide may be transferred temporarily via a route which takes it outside the European Economic Area as it passes between you and us. We (the Company) follow strict security procedures in the storage and disclosure of information which you have given us. This is to prevent unauthorised access or unlawful processing of your personal information. We keep your information confidential and store it on a secure server which is password protected and hidden behind a firewall from the outside world. We use secure socket layer software (SSL) to encrypt all of your personal information. We DO NOT store your credit card number.

Returns & Replacements

We hope you will be pleased with your purchase. However, should you wish to return an item please read our terms below:

For Business to Consumer Customers

This cancellation policy does not affect your rights when we are at fault — for example, if goods are faulty or misdescribed.

You do not have to give any reason for cancellation. However, a brief explanation will help us to improve the service we offer to customers in the future.

If you cancel, you must return the goods to us at your own expense. You are responsible for the risk of loss or damage when you return goods, so you should take out enough postal insurance to cover their value.

If you fail to  return the goods, we will collect them, and we will charge you the direct cost of collection. If you fail to take reasonable care of the goods before they are returned to us, and this results in damage or deterioration, we will charge you for the reduction in value.

For Business to Business Customers

We will be happy to refund in full or exchange, if it is in full resaleable condition (excluding kitchen equipment, please see returning kitchen equipment, below).

Returns should be made within reasonable time (usually 30 days) and in original undamaged packaging.

Should goods be delivered faulty, incorrect or damaged, please report to us immediately and confirmed in writing within 3 days of delivery.

Please note that there may be a collection charge for any items returned.

Returning Kitchen Equipment:

Please ensure that you have assessed all the technical specification, available on the website prior to ordering. Should you remain unsure of what product is right for you, please call our Kitchen Equipment Specialist for free and impartial advice on 01904 62 88 55.

Should you wish to return your kitchen equipment item(s) it must first be agreed with York Catering Supplies. A restocking charge of 25% applies, and we reserve the right to charge for return carriage.

Please note that any kitchen equipment items returned must be in their original packaging together with all manuals and accessories. In the event that you no longer have the packaging, we will be unable to accept the item(s). Credit will only be honoured once the goods have been received and inspected by York Catering Supplies. In the event of returned goods being used and unsaleable, no credit will be given, and the goods will be sent back to the customer.

Payment, Pricing & Promotions

All payments are made using the SagePay Payment Gateway and can be made using all major credit and debit cards (Mastercard, Visa, Delta, Switch, Solo, American Express and Diners Club International). SagePay is audited by an independent auditor on a regular basis to ensure that we comply with the latest security standards set out by Visa and MasterCard. If you have processed your order online using the SagePay payment pages, please locate and click on the padlock image which can be found on our payment pages to confirm that your details are collected in a secure environment. The padlock is located in a different area of the payment page screen depending on the internet browser you are using – it can normally be found in the bottom right hand corner of the screen, at the top of the screen next to (or inside) the address bar or at the very top right hand corner of the screen. This padlock shows that your details are collected using 128 bit SSL technology. Once you have entered your card details, SagePay will securely send these details to the bank to be authorised. This is a completely secure process and we ensure that your details cannot be accessed by a third party. For more information on the security standards employed by SagePay, please visit their security overview section. Pricing The price displayed on our website is the price you will pay excluding any delivery charges. All prices are converted into British Pounds at current exchange rates if necessary. Promotions From time to time York Catering will promote certain ranges / lines and may wish to communicate these offers to you via a range of methods.
